Playing Softball
Angie plays softball for her school team. She is the pitcher. They practice every day after school. They wear uniforms that are blue and white. Angie’s uniform number is seven. It is her lucky number. They have two or three games a week. Angie likes being the pitcher, she can throw a fastball. She throws a lot of strikes. A strike is when the batter swings at the ball and misses. Sheila is the catcher. Sheila and Angie are best friends. They always practice together at Sheila’s house. Angie throws the ball and Sheila catches it. Their team is good. Their coach is Mrs. Jones. She is very nice and helps them. She has been their coach for three years.
